Hello All,BigGrin

Missed the forum on my visit to France, but have come back after a very r and r holiday.
However yesterday fell out my utility door hit my head on the garage wall and nearly knocked
myself out and today my left arm and back are killing so on max pain killers to day. - grr
Mrs Clumsy. With regard the RA apart from my feet and hands the Depo has helped me past 3 wks.

Well I have started my new DMARD - leflunomide . My BP at last ok so I am really hoping this may be
my miracle drug, having been off mtx since last Nov and been on injections and anti inflam.
Stopped both now though as even the anti inflam have given me the gastric problem after 18 months
of being on them. - so hears hoping.

Tomorrow in Hospital for left eye Catarach op. as well uck. So what with blind eye, sore back and bad head
with my fall and the dreadful RA on feet and hands I think tomorrow I will feel more sorry for
myself tomorrow than I do today.

Any way hope everybody else ok and kind regards. I don't think I call read all the postings over past
13 days - sorry. .

Well Doreen, you don't do things by halves do you ? RollEyes

Talk about everything happens in threes Smile All the good your holiday did you went out the window when you argued with the garage wall. Is the wall ok ?LOL

I really do wish for you that the new treatment is successful and (once the bruises have gone) you have much less pain and discomfort.

Thinking of you. Warmest wishes, Ann

HI Rose

It sounds as if you're well out of sorts, the fall sounds pretty bad. I hope your eye op goes well, and that you recover from all your aches and pains very soon.

Oooo ouch Rose!

Good Luck with your op, I've had both done and it's not as scary as it sounds. My eyes were better afterwards-didn't even need glasses anymore!

Hi Rose

Sorry to hear about your fall, hope it hasn't shaken you up too much. Sometimes the shock can be worse than the pain and the bruises together.

Hope your eye op. went well today. I too have had lenses replaced in both eyes ( due to long term steroid damage). It's wonderful to be able to see again although now I need reading glasses!

Pleased you enjoyed your French vacation Smile

Thank you to all who wished me luck.

Today is the first day able to stare at the laptop.

First the cat op.is hopefully successful, eye still blood shot and hurst if I move eye too fast. The
aneth doctor put a canular in my hand and goodness knows what she has done my whole hand
is bruised from wrist and all my knuckles.

Does any one else get bruised easier since being an RA sufferer !

Still waiting to see if the lefluomide drug is working only taken it for 5 days so far though.

I wll keep posting

Hi Rose

Good to hear from you again. I'm sure you will soon be feeling the benefits of your eye op. My Dad had his eyes done when he was 92 and was fine after about 2 weeks!

As for the bruising - I'm not sure whether increased bruising is RA related or not. All I can tell you from my ow perspective is that I have been injecting mtx for 3 weeks now and have huge bruises all over my tum. Mind you, I have always been clumsy, so that could be it!

Lots of love

Welcome back Rose. I bruise easily too but not sure if it's an incompetent blood taker or not.

I bruise very easily RollEyes but I think it's down to the meds than the RA.

It sounds as though that canula was inserted too roughly and may have caused some bruising. Why did they put a canula in anyway? I had my eyes done with local anaesthetic in each eye and the following day all was hunky dory, no discomfort, no pain, nothing just excellent vision.

Hope it settles down soon, if not I think I'd be giving the a buzz.
Take care Rose,

Lyn x
